Let’s talk throw pillows. It’s easy to find beautiful pillow covers these days, but they don’t often come with the nicest inserts. The good news is, switching out the insert is easy, affordable and will make all the difference. I frequently get asked about what pillow inserts to purchase, so I decided to do some research. I ordered several inserts from different brands to try and compare. I’m happy to report I found an really great option that will make your pillows appear larger, fuller and more plush.

To demonstrate exactly how much of a difference these pillow inserts make, I took photos some before and after photos. Same pillow case, different insert. The before pillow displayed on the LEFT is filled with the standard insert (the one it came with) The pillow on the RIGHT is filled with the PILLOWFLEX INSERT.

Rather than spend a fortune on designer pillow cases, I recommend shopping for pillows at Target. My 2 favorite affordable brands for throw pillows are CASALUNA and THRESHOLD DESIGNED WITH STUDIO MCGEE! Both of these collections offer excellent quality pillow cases for the price. Simply replace the insert they come with, with the insert I shared below and you’ll have yourself a designer looking pillow for a fraction of the price.
