SOME BUNNY’S ONE! I’m so excited to share the details of Liliana’s 1st birthday party with you. I combined Lili’s favorite stuffed animal bunnies with pretty shades of tan and blue to set the theme for her party. Keep scrolling to see how we decorated and for some cute photos of our baby turning ONE!
1ST BUNNY BIRTHDAY PARTY
PLAY AREA
For Lili’s birthday we wanted to include a fun play area for her and her friends. We rented this beautiful white bounce house and soft play area from HAUS PARTY CO., a party rental company based in Connecticut. Haus Party Co. is one of the few rental companies in the area specializing in boutique bounce houses and aesthetically pleasing party rentals. If you’re like me and enjoy event planning and cohesive party decor, this is the perfect rental company to hire for showers, birthdays, holidays, etc.
What I loved most about Haus Party Co. was their all white SOFT PLAY AREA which is the 1st of it’s kind in Connecticut! It can be rented on its own or as part of the bounce house set up. While the BOUNCE HOUSE is perfect for all ages, the soft play area provides a safe environment for children ages 1-5 to play, explore and have fun. It’s perfect for a 1 year old birthday party! All equipment is made from soft materials and focuses on motor skills, balance, risk taking and sensory awareness. This area was definitely the highlight for my girls (ages 1 & 2.) The soft play package can be set up indoors or outdoors as long as space allows.
We were so happy with our experience working with Haus Party Co. and would definitely rent from them again in the future! If you are interested in renting from Haus Party Co. you can contact them at www.hauspartyco.com or follow them on Instagram at @hauspartyco.
The bounce house comes with hooks to attach balloon arches, banners and decor. I purchased a BURLAP BANNER to hang inside the bounce house.

BALLOONS
The dessert table set-up is always my favorite to put together! I did something similar for EMILIA’S 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY last year – a table full of flowers, balloons and yummy baked goods.
The beautiful ombre balloon arch above the table was created by KNOT MY BALLOON. I worked with Katie (the owner) on designing the colors, shape and size and the end result was swoon-worthy! She completely brought my vision to life and the final product was even more beautiful than I hoped for. She used a neutral color palette and custom blue balloons that worked perfectly with our theme. I just love how everything came together!
Katie also designed the balloons for our marquee letters and bounce house. Balloon arches are something I definitely recommend hiring out for (I tried making one myself last year and it was a nightmare!) If you’re interested in hiring Knot My Balloon for your next party, you can reach Katie via email Knotmyballoon@gmail.com or cell 413.530.3801. You can also follow her on Instagram at @knotmyballoon to see more of her work!
DESSERTS
For desserts we offered a variety of cupcakes, macaroons and cotton candy “bunny tails”. Lili’s cake and all of the cupcakes were made by our favorite local bakery MONETA MOMENTS – a mother and daughter team located in Connecticut with a passion for creating cupcakes and other sweet treats for holidays and special events. Moneta Moments made the most beautiful (and delicious!) cupcakes for EMILIA’S 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY last year – we knew we had have them again! They made us chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting. Believe me when I say they are the softest and most decadent cupcakes you’ll ever have! Lili’s cake was a 6 inch vanilla cake with naked white frosting – the perfect size for little hands to smash! I topped her cake with fresh flowers and stuffed bunny to go along with our theme.
If you’re interested in hiring Moneta Moments for your next event, you can visit their website at www.monetamoments.com or follow them on Instagram @monetamoments.
The girls favorite stuffed animals are the Jelly Cat bunnies. We have a bunch in different shapes and sizes which were perfect to decorate with!

The cotton candy “bunny tails” were so easy to make! All you need is cotton candy (I purchased mine at Homegoods), CLEAR PLASTIC TREAT BAGS, TAGS and TWINE. I bagged a round ball cotton candy in a plastic treat bags and tied up with twine and a tag. Cotton candy can be tricky to work with, but as long as you seal it tight, you can make these up to a week in advance.

NAME SIGN
Liliana’s NAME SIGN that hung above her dessert table was an AMAZON find (also available on ETSY.) The seller was great to work with and offers many different sizes, finishes and font options. We got the 36″ MDF – 3/8″ thickness in font Spring Breeze. I chose the unfinished option and left it as is.
HIGH CHAIR
For Liliana’s high chair set up, I got creative with some leftover WALLPAPER I had from her room! I bought a 4′ x 8′ foam board and taped the wallpaper down to create a backdrop. The balloons are from KNOT MY BALLOON – Katie dropped them off during the installation of our balloon arches and I filled them with helium the morning of the party. I simply attached 2 groupings of various size/color balloons to a balloon weight on each side of the high chair. I had to tape some balloon strings down to the backdrop to keep them in place.
For Lili’s cake eating (which quickly turned into a cake smash!) she wore this adorable RUFFLE BIB and MINI PARTY HAT.

MARQUEE LETTERS
Marquee letters are such fun way to decorate! We worked with ALPHA-LIT CENTRAL MASS on this cute “ONE” set-up. The letters/numbers are 3-4 feet tall and can be set up inside or outside your venue. Alpha-Lit Central Mass was such a pleasure to work with and was so accommodating. They will deliver and install the letters on the day of your event and pick up later that evening. The entire rental process was seamless and the letters made such a fun addition to Lili’s special day!

FLOWERS
All the flower arrangements at Lili’s birthday party were designed by PENTIMENTO, a local flower shop in Connecticut. I have worked with the owner of the shop, Sarah, several times in the past and at this point I think she can read my mind! I sent her my vision board for the party and she gave me suggestions on what flowers to use in our arrangements – fluffy florals with touch of garden chic. Each creation she designed for us was stunning and exactly what I had hoped for!
Pentimento is located on Main Street in Suffield, CT and specializes in wedding and event floral design. If you’ve planned an event before, you know the people you hire are just as important as the product they provide. Sarah is extremely talented and such a pleasure to work with. She takes the time to get to know you and your personal style, as well as your vision for the event. If you’re interested in hiring Sarah for your next event, you can contact her at www.pentimentoflowers.com or follow her on Instagram @pentimentodesign.
PHOTO WALL
If you took monthly photos of your little one throughout their first year, print them out and display them as decor! I glued my photos to cardstock layered with leftover wallpaper (to match our theme). To display the photos I used a wide JUTE MESH RIBBON and MINI CLOTHES PINS. This is such an easy, personable and affordable way to decorate!

INVITATIONS
I used a STANDARD INVITE DESIGN and personalized it myself. I changed the wording to “Some Bunny’s One” and added photos I took of Lili. Here’s a link to the design I worked off of. I find this site so easy to work with in terms of personalization/customization.
Here’s the invitation design we used…

FAVORS
Sticking with our them, our favors consisted of bunny ears and “carrot” snacks. The WHITE BUNNY EARS are sold as a set of 6. The carrot snacks were made using TRIANGLE CELLO BAGS filled with orange snacks – I chose goldfish and cheddar popcorn.
