This year I decided to bring some fun fall decor into our guest suite bedroom. This is one of my favorite spots to decorate in the house – it’s the perfect neutral base to add fun pops of color and seasonal accents to. Last year I decorated my home with neutral colors (see that post HERE!) This year I decided to bring in a beautiful rusty red color. I found some great fall accessories (pillows, blankets, vases, stems and pumpkins!) to style this space with just the right amount fall this season
Keep scrolling to see what I used to style our guest suite bedroom for fall. For more fall decor Inspiration and ideas, be sure to check out last year’s fall decor post, NEUTRAL FALL DECORATING TIPS.

SEASONAL THROW PILLOWS
One of thee easiest and most impactful way to decorate for fall (or any season!) is to swap out your throw pillows. As you can see, the majority of our bedding is neutral, which makes this easy! I added two large square pillows with a rust colored stripe and 1 lumbar in pretty fall pattern.

CHUNKY KNIT BLANKETS & THROWS
Adding a chunky knit throw blanket to your bed is the perfect way to make your bedroom feel nice and cozy. This is one of my favorite blankets that comes in both a full/queen and king size. Add it to the foot of your bed or throw it in a basket for cozy (and functional!) decor. You’ll love having this in the bedroom for fall and winter – it’s so nice and warm. I purchased the full/queen size to use at the foot of our queen sized bed.

SEASONAL VASES & STEMS
Vases are a great way to add a pop of color for fall. The vases I added to our dresser are a great quality for the price! They’re nice and heavy and have an aged, vintage look to them. Each size is sold separately, but they look great styled together!

SEASONAL PUMPKINS & SQUASH
I love mixing in real autumn veggies with faux for a more natural look. I filled the bowl on my dresser with white squash. Here’s a little tip, when it comes to filling bowls or vases, go with white squash rather than white pumpkins. They’re cheaper and have more variety in shape and size. Some of them even look exactly like pumpkins! You can also cook them up at the end of the season!
TIP: If you have pumpkins (real or faux) that you’d like to pain white, this SPRAY PAINT is a great color to use! The faux pumpkin I have on this dresser was originally orange and I sprayed it white. I love the way it came out. I’ve used this same technique on real pumpkins as well (shown in my post NEUTRAL FALL DECORATING TIPS)

FALL SCENTED CANDLES
Fall isn’t complete without a seasonal smelling candle. I’m very impressed with both the look and scent of this 5-wick candle. I also love that it’s soy! If you’re looking for a fun way to display your candles, try placing them on top of a small seasonal wreath.

PLAID RUGS
Layering rugs is a great way to add some seasonal texture and patterns to a room. This neutral plaid rug is a great option to add to the foot of the bed, or to use as an entryway doormat! This is the 3 x 5 used at the foot of a queen size bed. It comes in multiple sizes!
