One of my fondest childhood memories is holiday shopping with my Mom. There is always something so special and exciting about being at the mall during the holidays. I love everything about it – the busy stores, the holiday decor, crowds of people and the overall excitement of the season. My love for holiday shopping has continued well into my adult years and is just as fun and exciting as when I was a kid. Even with online shopping becoming more and more popular these days, there’s nothing quite like a trip to the mall at Christmas time.
For the past couple years my mom and I have continued our tradition with an annual holiday shopping trip to The SONO Collection – a spectacular shopping, dining, art, and entertainment destination located in South Norwalk, Connecticut. The mall opened a few years back and has quickly become my favorite shopping designations in the area – especially during the holidays! They have a fabulous selection of retailers, wide variety of restaurants and seasonal entertainment experiences. Keep scrolling to learn more!
HOLIDAY DECOR
One of the best ways to get in he holiday spirit is to experience the holiday decor at The Sono Collection. Every store in the mall is decked out in Christmas lights and holiday decor – all with their own theme and color scheme. We had fun just walking throughout the shops and admiring all the decorations.
DINING
Our favorite way to start the day is with a caffeinated beverage from Ebar in Nordstrom. They have a full selection of espresso drinks, coffee and fresh, locally sourced pastries. You can also grab a snack, smoothie or grab-and-go lunch here if you’re short on time.
We always end the day with dinner and a glass of wine at Bazille, also located in Nordstrom. Its the perfect place to sit, eat and relax after fun day of shopping! Click HERE for a full list of dining options available at The Soho Collection.
SHOPPING
The best part of The Song Collection experience? The shopping! I love the selection of stores the mall has to offer. Some of my favorite shops to visit are Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, H&M and Zara for clothing. I always stop in Arhuas, H&M Home, EQ3 and Lilian August for home decor. I could spend all day pursuing through these shops!
During my most recent visit I was on the lookout for some holiday outfits. I found the prettiest winter white options at H&M that I can’t wait to wear for Christmas, New Years and all winter long. Whether you have a holiday party to attend or just looking for something cozy to wear around house, the shops at The Sono Collection have you covered! See a few of my favorite looks from H&M below.
