My absolute favorite treat to make at the holidays is Peanut Butter Balls! What’s best about these tasty treats? They’re a total crowd pleaser AND there’s NO BAKING involved! Don’t get me wrong, I love to bake…but being able to create something this delicious without having to turn on the oven is pretty amazing. The list of ingredients is short, saving you some time (and money!) in the grocery store. Decorating them can be fun too, just buy some colorful sprinkles and candy melts to dress them up with. Package them pretty and you have yourself a fun and festive treat to display as part of your Christmas spread or to bring to holiday parties. See full recipe below. ENJOY!
PEANUT BUTTER BALLS
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. Peanut Butter
- 1 lb. Confectionary Sugar
- 2 Individual Packages of Graham Crackers (crushed or pulverized – I use a blender)
- 2 Sticks Butter (softened)
- 2 Bags of Chocolate Candy Melts (found at most craft stores)
- Tin Foil or Parchment Paper
- Decorating Squeeze Bottle
Directions:
- Add Peanut Butter, Confectionary Sugar, Graham Crackers & Butter together in a bowl. Mix all ingredients until the consistency is smooth and can be easily rolled into balls (1 batch makes 30-40 balls depending on size.)
- Roll balls and place them on baking sheet. Set them in the refrigerator for an hour to cool. When they are ready to be coated, remove from the refrigerator.
- Add the Chocolate Candy Melts (I use Dark Chocolate) to a bowl and microwave, stirring occasionally until melted (be sure not to burn!). Carefully dip each ball in the melted chocolate to cover (I use two spoons to do this). Once coated, place the balls on a baking sheet lined with tin foil or wax paper.
- If you are adding sprinkles, be sure to use them before the chocolate dries. Another option is to melt additional Candy Melts to use for decoration. Simply melt them in a Decorating Squeeze Bottle and decorate as you wish! Refrigerate when finished.
