When one of your favorite patterns of all time becomes a hot trend for spring/summer….you celebrate! I can’t tell you how excited I am that leopard is trending this season. Swimsuits, dresses, tops, pants, accessories – it’s everywhere! A perfect excuse to add another leopard piece to my wardrobe…
My most recent leopard purchase is this slip dress. I bought this dress in a red floral version (seen here) a few weeks back and absolutely fell in love with it. It’s lightweight and slinky with a flattering fit. It also has some fun details like a slide slit and low back. I loved it so much I convinced myself I needed the leopard version too!
I would definitely consider this dress an investment piece considering the high price tag on it. It’s more expensive than I’d normally spend on a sundress, but here are two reasons I think it’s worth investing in: 1.) It’s a classic dress that won’t go out of style. I consider leopard a timeless and neutral pattern – you’ll have it for years. 2.) It’s versatile and easy to style. To prove this point further, I’m showing you 3 easy ways to style this leopard dress for summer. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth with this one! The fit is true to size – I’m wearing the size small.
If this leopard dress isn’t in your budget I found an almost identical option at a much more affordable price point (only $28!) It’s a little longer, but otherwise looks the same!

I love the way this dress looks styled on its own, but it also looks cute worn as a skirt! One of my best styling tips for summer is to transform your dresses into skirts by layering them with a basic top. This little trick can be done with almost any summer dress in your closet and cost is minimal. Both the tops I layered over my leopard dress were less than $20. Ps. The white white button-up featured in outfit #3 below is identical to the Madewell Central Shirt, but for a fraction of the price. I actually prefer this one over the Madewell version – I can’t recommend it enough! It comes in chambray too! Fit is true to size – I’m wearing a size small.
