You won’t find me wearing patterns very often, unless it’s plaid or stripes (and the occasional pop of leopard!) I recently decided to experiment by mixing some of my favorite classic patterns. While plaid and stripes may seem like an unlikely pair, they actually look pretty cute together. Today I’m styling both patterns AND debuting one of my favorite new necklaces.
It’s likely that you have a few things plaid and striped lying around in your closet. I would challenge you to try styling those two items together. The key to pattern mixing is ensuring the colors in each pattern complement each other – you don’t want them to clash. If you’re looking for a great plaid scarf, mine is from Madewell. It’s probably my single favorite purchase this fall, I highly recommend. This Merona striped top is another #targetstyle score.
